Self Care

Self-care is the intentional actions and practices individuals engage in to maintain and enhance their emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It involves recognizing personal needs and implementing strategies to manage stress, reduce burnout, and foster resilience. Self-care can include a variety of activities, such as:

  • Physical care: Ensuring adequate sleep, nutrition, and exercise.

  • Emotional care: Managing emotions through mindfulness, journaling, or talking to a trusted friend or therapist.

  • Social care: Building supportive relationships and setting boundaries.

  • Cognitive care: Engaging in activities that stimulate the mind, such as reading or learning new skills.

  • Spiritual care: Connecting with values, meditation, or practices that provide meaning.

Effective self-care is proactive, consistent, and individualized, promoting mental well-being and preventing mental health challenges.

Take a moment to think about your own self care practice.

Is there room for improvement?

You are not alone - we can all benefit from putting ourself first.

We encourage you to take the time to take good care of you!
